“I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”
Mothers,
“Yours is the work of salvation, and therefore you will be magnified, compensated, made more than you are and better than you have ever been as you try to make honest effort, however feeble you may sometimes feel that to be. …Do the best you can through these years, but whatever else you do, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones….The very fact that you have been given such a responsibility is everlasting evidence of the trust your Father in Heaven has in you…. If you strive to love God, if you try your best to be the best parent you can be, you will have done all that a human being can do and all that God expects you to do….Remember, remember all the days of your motherhood: ‘Ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save.’ Rely on Him. Rely on Him heavily. Rely on Him forever. And ‘press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope.’ You are doing God’s work.”
Jeffrey R. Holland, “Because She Is a Mother,” Ensign, May 1997

i love that stuff! haven't had it in years though!
I'm with you on the cookie dough. That's the purpose in making cookies. I love that stuff. I should take a picture when Stuart goes. He always buys ice cream and candy bars. Most recently, Kit Kat, Butterfinger and Snickers. Gotta love 'em!
Ditto. When Lance goes to the grocery store with me we always end up with many frozen, enjoy-right-out-of-the-box type of foods.
Don't you love it when you send your husband and they bring home EXTRA stuff but can't seem to find the stuff that was actually on the list! That's what happens to us.
Micah and me are sooo related.
let's not even go there, i will not i repeat WILL NOT let dennis do any shopping for me. his favorite is frosted flakes. when the kids where younger he would feed them poptarts, popcorn, ice cream,or chips for lunch. it drove me crazy...
ahaha Brian says he will supervise that Costco run and come back with a tub each. Seriously! Why can't we just send them to the grocery store for real food?
Ha ha ha ha ha! I have to confess, sometimes I send Brent to the store for that very same reason...
Hey Cheryl- It's fair time, and that always makes me think of you. Are you coming down? Maybe by some miracle we could meet up.
