This Is the view...

from my kitchen window.
I really love having a window in my kitchen with a view
to look at while I'm working.
over the summer, the ocean was really nice
but I enjoy this one, too. especially right now with all
the cherry blossoms!
they really make me happy and the dishes get done before I know it. Totally coincidentally, I noticed yesterday, we're even using cherry blossom hand soap--thanks grandma.
kinda fun.
this is also an important view because just beyond the cherry trees is a huge playground where Jaden can run around free while I make dinner or clean-up.
I very SERIOUSLY don't know how we'll live without this!
I'm sad that we'll have to.
I know it's monterey but that will probably mean no yard or fenced outdoor area.
there are some things that are important to my sanity.
easy access to forms of energy release is one them.
over the summer we resorted to a mini-tramp and chin-up bar.

Are you moving? I'm with you on the need for open space within reach - those boys need it and ultimately so do we! Beautiful view - looks like spring is definately blossoming already where you are!

I love having a window over my sink. Whenever we've lived somewhere without a window there, I feel confused everytime I'm working at the sink. What am I supposed to look at? The wall?

Oh yeah,
I'll be down with the boys for spring break (March 24-30). I am sure that we'll see you!

I am so with you! The house that we've been renting doesn't have any grass- just dirt. My boys can't even play in the snow (because it's mud beneath). Yes, life is much better with grassy open space.

I love driving around davis and looking at all the beautiful trees with blossoms. You live in the ideal place. We lived in an apartment like that in texas, I would be inside cleaning and doing whatever and the girls would be outside playing. I loved it and miss it! Cheryl, how about a trip to San Fransisco, you Sue Wiscombe, and I? We would take the train and go shopping all day and then ride it back in the evening? We are thinking the second or third week in March. Ixchelle

my mc days: yep. we're moving but not until aug. micah finishes classes in may but then will be studying for the bar and takes it in late july.

phoeb: looking forward to seeing you!

ixchelle: march is crazy for us. sue will be gone next weekend I'm pretty sure. then we're gone the following weekend (15-19) and again the following weekend (23-24). conference is that next weekend. sounds fun but we'll have to coordinate schedules!

masterblaster: we might get kicked out of dennis the menace park BUT there is a great camp ground just up at the top of the hill--now that might not be a bad idea! the boys would be in heaven!

I'm not a horticulturist either but I do know what plums and cherries look like and unless they're mini-plum trees than they're cherries. the kids collect them in buckets all season long. kip said they were plum, too but I'm afraid not.

What beautiful blossoms. I love an early spring. I'm sad I missed you in B-town. I got your message too late. Next time...

I had one of those trees in my front yard growing up. It is actually a cherry-plum. So there you go. And soak up that Solano Park goodness while you can. We miss it terribly! But hey, Monterey can't be too bad, now, can it?
